A six furlong dirt race run at Del Mar, the Bing Crosby Stakes is named after the famous singer, who was also a founder of Del Mar. A Grade 1 race since 2004, the Bing Crosby was run on a synthetic surface from 2007 to 2014 before being switched back to dirt in 2015.

Since 2000, the race has been won by horses such as Kona Gold (twice), In Summation, Street Boss, Zensational, Amazombie and Points Offthebench. It is also a Win and You’re In event for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint.
