Lovesick Blues shocked some of the best sprinters in California and beyond with a win in the $402,000 Grade 1 Bing Crosby Stakes July 26, 2025, at Del Mar. The 7-year-old California-bred gelding scored his first graded stakes win in 41 lifetime starts. He had run on turf in his previous five races and 22 of his career outing to that point in his career had been on turf, including a win in the $98,000 Siren Lure Stakes going six furlongs May 10 at Santa Anita. The win gave trainer Librado Barocio his second career graded stakes victory and first-ever Grade 1 win.
