The Haskell Invitational is a 1 1/8-mile race for 3-year-olds at Monmouth Park Racetrack. The race was created in 1968 to honor former Monmouth Park President and Chairman Amory L. Haskell and was originally open to older horses. In 1981 it was changed to an Invitational for 3-year-olds. The race often serves as a prep for the Travers Stakes at Saratoga Racecourse

Haskell winners have gone on to win divisional championship honors nine times, including three consecutive years from 2008-2010 and in 2015 with American Pharoah. Trainer Bob Baffert has won the race a record seven times while jockey Craig Perret has ridden a record three winners.
Bet Twice (1987) and Majestic Light (1976) have recorded the fastest winning time of 1:47.00. Verrazano owns the record for largest win margin with his 9 3/4 length victory in the 2013 edition of the race. Other notable horses to win the race include Lookin At Lucky, Rachel Alexandra, Big Brown, Holy Bull, Skip Away and Forty Niner.
