“As soon as she got to the lead, she pricked her ears and cruised along at a pretty good pace but well in hand,” said trainer John Servis.
Churchill Downs has long been a special place for Servis, based at Parx Racing in Bensalem, Pa. He won the 2004 Kentucky Derby with Smarty Jones, an upstart Pennsylvania-bred, and took the Kentucky Oaks here two years ago with Cathryn Sophia, a $30,000 purchase.
