Super Corredora began her career sprinting in Southern California in the summer of 2025, finishing fifth in her July 19 debut and second on Aug. 9. Trainer John Sadler next tried her around two turns in a one-mile race and the added distance unlocked something in the Gun Runner filly, who dominated from start to finish in a 8 ¼-length runaway victory under Hector Berrios.

Sadler was encouraged enough by the maiden win to enter Super Corredora in the $2 million NetJets Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Oct. 31 at Del Mar. She again sprinted to the lead under Berrios, responded to a challenge on the far turn, and battled gamely in the closing strides to hold off race favorite Explora. Super Corredora became the first winner in the 42-year history of the race to win the Juvenile Fillies coming out of a maiden win.
That victory at Del Mar was enough to secure Super Corredora the Eclipse Award as champion 2-year-old filly for 2025.
Super Corredora was produced by the winning Super Saver mare Super Simple, a half-sister to stakes winners Optionality and Simple Surprise.
