Winning her debut by 2 1/2 lengths, Take Charge Brandi finished second in the Grade 3 Schuylerville Stakes in her next start. Hopes were still high for her four races later when her connections entered her in the 2014 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies after three off-the-board finishes.
Take Charge Brandi silenced her doubters in the Juvenile fillies, leading from start to finish for a half-length win that gave Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas a record-extending 20th Breeders' Cup win.
