Restless Rider won her career debut by 2 ¾ lengths on June 8, 2018 despite falling before the race behind the starting gate. She followed with a victory depite a troubled trip in the Debutante Stakes later that month at Churchill.

Restless Rider lost for the first time when she ran second in the Grade 1 Spinaway Stakes in September at Saratoga Race Course, but she bounced back in a big way in her next start with a 2 1/2-length victory in the Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes on Oct. 5 at Keeneland Race Course. That victory earned Restless Rider a guaranteed starting spot in the Tito’s Handmade Vodka Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies.
Restless Rider could not match strides with Jaywalk in the Juvenile Fillies, but she rallied to finish second in the 10-horse field. She closed out her 2-year-old season with another runner-up finish in the Garde 2 Golden Rod Stakes on Nov. 24 at Churchill Downs.
The run of second-place finishes continued for Restless Rider in her 2019 debut. She finished gamely in the Grade 1 Central Bank Ashland Stakes on April 6 at Keeneland but came up short of upset winner Out for a Spin.
Restless Rider is out of the winning Unbridled’s Song mare Silky Serenade, a half-sister to multiple Grade 2 winner Private Vow.
