Just a Game S.

First run in 1992, the Just a Game Stakes is for fillies and mares four years and older going one mile (eight furlongs) on the turf. Named after the 1980 U.S. champion female turf horse, the race has been won three times each by trainer Bill Mott and jockey Jerry Bailey to lead all trainers and jockeys while two owners have won it twice.

Caress is the only horse to be on the winner’s list twice with victories in 1995 and 1996. She is joined by fillies such as Memories of Silver, Intercontinental, My Typhoon, Provision, Stephanie’s Kitten and Tepin on the winner’s list.
