Classic Q

Classic Q won her maiden race as a 3-year-old in a turf mile race at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 26, 2025. During her 3-year-old season she went on to win a turf mile allowance at Churchill Downs and won the $150,000 Wild Applause Stakes going one mile on the turf at Saratoga on July 3. She also finished second by a neck at Saratoga in the Grade 3 Lake George Stakes on July 26.

Classic Q earned the first graded stakes win of her career as a 4-year-old with a victory in the Grade 2, $1 million Longines Churchill Distaff Turf Mile Stakes on May 2, 2026, and she kept up her best form by taking another graded stakes, the Grade 1, $500,000 Just a Game Stakes Presented by Resolute Racing June 6 at Saratoga during the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival. Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez was in the irons for both victories, in which Classic Q achieved by controlling the pace. She easily kept European invader Mandanaba at bay in the Just a Game, prevailing by 1 ¼ lengths.

Coming off of back-to-back graded stakes wine, Classic Q was sent off as the 3-2 favorite in the Resolute Racing Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Stakes Sept. 5, where she finished third. In her sixth start of 2026, however, she was back to her very best, rallying strongly in the stretch of the Grade 1 First Lady Stakes at Keeneland Oct. 3 to edge defending Lush Lips by a nose.

Kentucky-bred Classic Q is out of the winning Scat Daddy mare Lovely Em.
