Owner Allen Paulson and trainer D. Wayne Lukas lead the all time winners’ list in their respective categories with four wins each while jockey Pat Day leads the list of most wins by a jockey with five including a victory aboard the Lukas trained Imp Society in 1985, which gave him his fourth straight win in the race. Both Styrunner (1957, 1959) and Gay Revoke (1964-1965) have won the race twice while Snow Chief (1987) ran the fastest edition of the race at its current distance. Winners in the race since 2000 include Medaglia d’Oro, Peace Rules, Lawyer Ron and Will Take Charge.
