One of the biggest races on the calendar for older females on dirt, the Delaware Handicap is run at 1 ¼ miles (10 furlongs) on dirt. Run since 1937, the Delaware Handicap was won four times by trainer Henry Clark, jockey Angel Cordero and owner Christiana Stable. Winners include Busanda, Flower Bowl, Old Hat, Obeah, Our Mims, Relaxing, Adored, Urbane, Fleet Indian, Unbridled Belle, Life at Ten, Blind Luck and Royal Delta.
