Parx Racing-based trainer Juan Carlos Guerrero broke into the national spotlight in 2019 when Spun to Run won the Big Ass Fans Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile. The colt, who won the Grade 3 Smarty Jones Stakes at Parx in September before taking the Nov. 2 Dirt Mile at Santa Anita, is the first graded stakes winner for Guerrero.
Guerrero is also the trainer of stakes winner and graded stakes-placed Zanotti.
