The bet365 Summer Stakes offers a “Win and You’re In” berth to the Brown Advisory Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, and it’s usually a good betting race that attracts promising 2-year-old turf runners from around North America and often from overseas.

This year’s renewal fits that historical profile, and it is one of several intriguing races on a stacked Saturday card at Woodbine. The Grade 1 Summer Stakes will be broadcast live on FanDuel TV.

1. Big Money Man: Ships in from France, where he finished second last month in a one-mile turf stakes at Deauville as the 1-2 favorite. There were only five horses in that stakes and it was run on a heavy turf course. He’ll get much firmer conditions here and that should suit him as his only win from three career starts came on firm ground back in July.

2. Let Em Know: Moved to turf after showing little on dirt in his career debut and promptly won a 1 1/16-mile grass maiden at Saratoga by a head in mid-August at 16-1 odds. Showed grit in that victory which he’ll need to summon again if he’s contending in the stretch Saturday.

3. Oscar: Impressed in his early August debut at Saratoga by saving ground, seizing an inside opening in early stretch, and then fighting off a late challenge to prevail in a 1 1/16-mile turf race. Can he get another prime trip in this spot? Gets a new jockey in Kendrick Carmouche, who’ll also ride star older horse Deterministic in the Woodbine Mile for Miguel Clement.

4. Bounce Back: The first of five Mark Casse-trained entrants started poorly in her mid-August debut on this course and was keen early but still finished well enough to nab second going 6 ½ furlongs. Has the pedigree to stretch out and adds blinkers for this race. She’s cross-entered in the Johnnie Walker Natalma Stakes earlier on the card, a Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” qualifier for the John Deere Juvenile Fillies Turf.

5. Play It Again: This Casse trainee ships in from Kentucky off of a grinding half-length win in a 1 1/16-mile turf maiden race at Ellis Park Aug. 1. He closed on a yielding turf course and won’t get that again Saturday, and in his prior two races held on firm ground he didn’t have as strong a kick. Exotics candidate.

6. Nicki Knows Best: Debuted at Woodbine in late August in a one-mile and 70-yard maiden race that was rained off turf and run on the Tapeta all-weather main track. This filly rallied strongly from a pace-pressing trip to prevail by a length. Interesting upset shot if she runs, but she’s cross-entered in the Natalma.

7. Quipster: Won his debut sprinting 5 ½ furlongs on Woodbine’s Tapeta surface in June and then finished an even third of six when switching to this turf course in mid-August and going 6 ½ furlongs, 5 ¼ lengths behind runner-up Speaker’s Speech. Will need much improvement to be a factor.

8. Sword Salute: Joins Al Hudaiba from the Godolphin stable and might be entered in order to ensure a fast pace for his compatriot. Comes in off of a two-length win in a seven-furlong turf sprint in July at Goodwood in England, where he led from start to finish. Not totally without a chance at winning even if he is a “rabbit.”

9. Al Hudaiba: A legitimate favorite here as he’s won three of five starts overseas with a runner-up finish and another race back in May where he unseated his jockey. Won a Group 2 stakes at Newbury in July going seven furlongs and then finished third by a half-length in another seven-furlong Group 2 at Goodwood at the end of July. Should be flying late for elite connections.

10. Voyager: Made first two starts on dirt in sprints and finished second both times, the latter coming in a Saratoga stakes in early July. Then switched to turf and led at every point of call going 1 1/16 miles Aug. 1 at the Spa, holding on for dear life to prevail by a nose after opening a three-length advantage in the stretch. This filly should be forwardly placed for a hot jockey-trainer combo if she runs (she’s cross-entered in the Natalma Stakes).

11. Speaker’s Speech: The last of Casse’s quintet overcame a slow start in a 6 ½-furlong turf maiden on this course in mid-August to swoop to a two-length lead in early stretch before yielding by a head at the finish. His jockey in that race, Ramon Hernandez, takes the assignment on Casse’s Play It Again, but Hall of Famer John Velazquez is a superb replacement.

12. Induction: Ships in from a debut win in early August at Colonial Downs, where he stalked the pace in a one-mile turf race and shot clear in the stretch to prevail by two lengths. Outside post should not be too much of a concern here as this is a one-turn mile. Scratched out of a turf stakes last week at Colonial to run in this tougher spot instead, which is intriguing.
