A Lexington native who grew up in Frankfort, Patrick Reed attended the University of Kentucky as an undergrad, working at Keeneland’s Turf Catering during his senior year. A casual racing fan through his twenties, Patrick drew closer to the sport after moving back to Kentucky at the turn of the century, following a sojourn to Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where he received a graduate degree in Popular Culture.

He has since worked for Daily Racing Form and Thoroughbred Times and contributed pieces to organizations including the Norman Lear Center in Los Angeles and Kentucky Educational Television in Lexington. He joined the ABR team in September 2016.
