History

A spring race for 3-year-old fillies, the Beaumont Stakes is run at seven furlongs on the dirt at Keeneland. Run since 1986 and named in honor of the old Beaumont Farm owned by Hal Price Headley, the first edition was won by Classy Cathy. Since then horses such as Go For Wand, Sahara Gold, Xtra Heat and Turbulent Descent have won the race.
