History

Named after the two-time winner of this race, the Fourstardave was once called the Daryl’s Joy Stakes. In addition to winning this race twice, Fourstardave won at Saratoga every year for eight straight years. The Fourstardave Stakes is a one mile turf race for horses 3 and older with two-time Horse of the Year and popular gelding Wise Dan fittingly winning the 2012 and 2013 editions of this race. Other winners include Get Stormy, Da Hoss and Lure.
