History

A race for 3-year-olds and older going a mile on the dirt, the Texas Mile is held every year at Lone Star Park. The race has attracted some top notch horses through the years including Skip Away and Real Quiet, although neither won. Trainer Bob Baffert is tied with Bobby Barnett as the winningest trainer at two wins each with jockey David Flores leading the jockeys with three wins and Littlebitlively the only horse to win two editions of the race. First run in 1997, Isitingood won the first edition in track and stakes record time, stopping the clock at 1:34.44.
