Sheriff Brown won his first stakes race on February 9, 2020, when he won the Winsham Lad Handicap at Sunland Park by 3/4 of a length in a 13.60-1 upset. After rating off the pace most of the way, he surged to the front late under Alfredo Juarez Jr, and got up for the surprise victory.
Over the winter of 2021, Sheriff Brown won three races in a row between Delta Downs, Sam Houston Race Park, and Lone Star Park. Stepping up to graded stakes company in his next two starts, he missed the board in the Steve Sexton Mile and the San Diego Handicap.
