Stay Lucky offers participants the opportunity to win great prizes by stringing together winners in Thoroughbred races. Unbroken streaks of five, seven, nine, 14, 17 and 20 reward the players with a prize or choice of prizes. Terms and conditions apply.

The object is simple: pick winners from North American graded stakes races that draw at least six entrants. Races will be scored in real time but streaks will be updated only once daily to make sure they are scored in the correct order.

Pick as many races each weekend as you like, but be sure to play at least one race every weekend or your streak will be reset.

This weekend is the second-to-last of the 2018 Stay Lucky season, which comes to a close with the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Nov. 3 at Churchill Downs. This week there are three graded stakes races. If you want to make a final push for the grand prize or one of the other great prizes, be sure to start building your streak now!

Bold Ruler Handicap (5:08 p.m. ET): Coal Front (#4) and Delta Prince (#6) probably are the two most talented horses in this race, but I think seven-eighths of a mile is just a bit too long for Coal Front and Delta Prince has made his last nine starts on the grass. I’ll go instead with True Timber (#4). He’s in terrific form after a couple of confidence-building allowance wins and I think this might be his ideal distance. He should get a perfect trip just off the pace set by Coal Front.

Hagyard Fayette Stakes (5:30 p.m. ET): Hofburg (#6) is one of my favorite 3-year-olds from this crop, but I really did not like his race in the Pennsylvania Derby. Meanwhile Prime Attraction (#1) and Leofric (#5) enter off decent efforts in Grade 1 races, Nice Not Nice (#2) ran second in the Grade 3 Ack Ack Stakes, and Hence (#3) won a stakes race. I still lead toward Hofburg as the most likely winner, but I think he’s probably a vulnerable favorite and the value might be Leofric, who looks like the lone speed.

Autumn Miss Stakes (7:30 p.m. ET): Toinette (#5) faded late in the Grade 1 Belmont Oaks Invitational on July 7, but she’s been freshened and I think cutting back in distance from 1 ¼ miles to a mile will serve her well here. Prior to the Belmont Oaks, she had won three straight and I expect she get a solid pace to set up her closing kick.
