Memories of Arlington International Racecourse will be revived on Saturday when the famed racetrack’s premier turf stakes will be contested at Colonial Downs. For fillies and mares, there’s the Beverly D. Stakes, which is named for longtime Arlington owner Richard Duchossois’s wife, Beverly. As usual some of the year’s top turf females will be on hand for another competitive renewal of the 1 3/16-mile stakes.

1. Venencia (15-1 morning-line odds): The 6-year-old mare has won only three of 19 starts and would prefer an even longer distance. Definitely a longshot here.

2. Daisy Flyer (15-1): Was a Grade 3 winner last year but has failed to impress in two allowance tries this year. The longer distance might help her chances, but she’ll need a career-best try to be a big factor.

3. Somethinabouther (8-1): Lacks a graded stakes win on turf but does like to finish third, which she has done seven times in 16 career starts. Could sneak into the trifecta.

4. Haute Diva (20-1): A stakes winner on dirt and all-weather surfaces, but she only has a maiden win on turf. Competes in a turf stakes for the first time and seems overmatched.

5. Crevalle d’Oro (12-1): Was second at 31-1 in the Pegasus World Cup Filly and Mare Turf Invitational Stakes Presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. Then was fourth in the Grade 3 Honey Fox Stakes Presented by MyRacehorse. Has not raced since Feb. 28 and the time off may help. An encore of her effort in the Pegasus would make her a contender here.

6. Achieve (8-1): Speedy filly faces stakes company for the first time off two front-running allowance-optional claiming wins. Should be on or near the lead early but is a question mark at this distance.

7. Pin Up Betty (8-1): Comes off a nice win in the Anchorage Stakes at Churchill Downs for a second straight year. Has the kind of closing kick that will be helped by the added distance. Was third May 2 in the Longines Churchill Distaff Turf Mile, a race in which all of the top four finishers have since won a stakes. Deserves a long look here.

8. Stellify (3-1): Has not raced since enduring a tough trip last fall in the Maker’s Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf. Given the layoff, distance, and competition, she may need this race to round into top form.

9. Gimme a Nother (9-2): Was an impressive winner of her 2026 debut in the Eatontown Stakes at Monmouth Park. Closed last year with a Grade 2 win and should be a main threat in this field.

10. Storm Miami (15-1): Flashed early speed and then weakened late in a pair of narrow Grade 3 losses. Cuts back in distance and without much speed in the race could be a factor.

11. Fast Market (15-1): Tackled Grade 1 competition in her two 2026 starts and was no better than sixth. Won a Grade 3 stakes last year but faces a tough assignment from this post.

12. Way to Be Marie (6-1): Was second in the Anchorage and no worse than third in her last four tries, all in stakes. Would be more appealing with a better post position.
