Amelia Green began her career in horse racing in her native England and was mentored by legendary trainer Henry Cecil. She attended the British Racing School as a teenager and after graduating gained her first experience working in the U.S. on a trip to California.
She briefly pursued a career as a jockey but ended up staying in California exercising horses and her connections to Michael McCarthy led to a job with Todd Pletcher on the East Coast.

Green worked as an exercise rider, foreman, and assistant for Pletcher for seven years before starting her own career as a trainer in fall 2024. She earned her first win on Dec. 1 with On Command and that filly also gave Green her first stakes win in May 2025 when taking the License Fee Stakes.
