History

Run for the first time in 2004, the Winning Colors is a six furlong (three-quarter miles) dirt race for fillies and mares 3 years and older at Churchill Downs. Trainer Bret Calhoun has won the race three times, twice with Dubai Majesty who is the only horse to win it twice. Rafael Bejarano is the only jockey to win it more than once, taking it in back-to-back years in 2005 and 2006.
