Finley'sluckycharm opened her career with back-to-back victories before an unplaced finish when stretching out in distance in the Grade 2 Rachel Alexandra Stakes. Returning to sprints, Finley'sluckycharm found her groove, winning three races by a combined margin of 20 3/4 lengths before a runner-up finish in the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes. 

In her 2017 debut, Finley'sluckycharm won the Roxelana Stakes at Churchill Downs. She then coasted to a front-running runaway victory in the Grade 3 Winning Colors Stakes in May and added a victory in the Grade 3 Chicago Handicap in June.

After a tough defeat in the Grade 2 Honorable Miss Handicap, where she dueled with Paulassilverlining before losing by a neck, Finley’sluckycharm returned in the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland, a “Win and You’re In” qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint. Jockey Brian Hernandez tried different tactics in the TCA, placing Finley’sluckycharm just behind the early speed, and his decision paid off as the filly took command at the top of the stretch and drew off to a 1 ¾-length win.

Finley'sluckycharm disappointed when unplaced and well-beaten in the Filly and Mare Sprint, but she returned in better form when second in the Mardi Gras Stakes at Fair Grounds in her 2018 debut on the grass. She regained her winning form in the Grade 1 Madison Stakes with a hard-fought victory over a talented field to secure her first career Grade 1 win.

In her next start, Finley’sluckycharm finished fourth in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff Stakes at Churchill Downs. She was given a nearly two-month break and returned with a sharp 2 ¼-length win in the Grade 2 Honorable Miss Stakes at Saratoga on July 25.
