Sconsin

Sconsin won the second start of her career, taking an off-the-turf maiden race by a half-length in February 2020 at Fair Grounds. Three starts later, the bay Include filly won a 6 ½-furlong allowance/optional claiming race at Churchill Downs by five lengths.

Tested next against stakes competition, Sconsin finished second to Four Graces in the Beaumont Stakes Presented by Keeneland Select. She followed with a third in the Runhappy Audubon Oaks at Ellis Park in August.

Sconsin earned her first career stakes win on the Sept. 4 Longines Kentucky Oaks undercard when she reeled in Four Graces in the stretch en route to a dominant 2 1/4-length victory in the Eight Belles Stakes presented by Twinspires.com.

After two defeats in her first two starts of 2021, Sconsin earned the first stakes win of her 4-year-old season on May 22, taking the Grade 3 Winning Colors Stakes after rating off the pace. She covered six furlongs over a fast track in 1:08.80. As the favorite in the Roxelana Overnight Stakes next out on June 19, Sconsin was second behind Bell's the One.

The two met up again in a rematch at Churchill on Sept. 18, in the Open Mind Stakes. Sconsin got the upper hand on Bell's the One this time, prevailing by half a length.

Sconsin spent several months on the sidelines, then returned to the races with a determined win in the Grade 3 Winning Colors Stakes on May 30, 2022. She rated off the early pace, then drew alongside early leader Joyful Cadence in the stretch. The two battled in the lane, but Sconsin got the upper hand in the last eighth and started her 2022 season as a winner.
