The $2 million Belmont Stakes presented by NYRA Bets returns to idyllic Saratoga Race Course for the second straight year while Belmont Park undergoes a massive renovation.

Excitement is building as Saratoga Springs, N.Y. prepares to host the Belmont Stakes presented by NYRA Bets for the second consecutive year.

Welcome to 2025 Triple Crown Prospect Profiles, where we’ll take a look each week at a recent winner on the U.S. Classics trail, with the concentration this week on the Belmont Stakes June 7 at Saratoga Race Course.

For the second straight year, the Belmont Stakes will be run at Saratoga Race Course and at the shortened distance of 1 ¼ miles. Horseplayers that follow track trends will have to adjust their handicapping accordingly because Belmont Stakes trends from past editions at Belmont Park and at the race’s traditional 1 ½-mile distance will be irrelevant for this year’s race.
