History

First run in 1992, the Doubledogdare Stakes is a 1 1/16 mile (8.5 furlong) race on dirt for fillies and mares 4-years-old and older at Keeneland. Named for the Claiborne filly Doubledogdare who gave the farm its first major stakes win at the track, Jeano is the only horse to win the race twice with a win in the inaugural running and again in 1994. Mares who have won the race include Silverbulletday, Darling My Darling, Mayo on the Side, Pool Land and Asi Siempre.
