The weekend racing fans wait for all year long is almost here as the top horses in the country and many from around the world will travel to Del Mar for the 2024 Breeders’ Cup. The action kicks off on Future Stars Friday, Nov.
Handicapping the $2 million, Grade 1 Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff isn’t an easy task. The 1 1/8-mile race for fillies and mares annually draws a deep field, packed with proven Grade 1 winners.
The expected intercontinental showdown in this year’s Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic took another step toward reality Oct. 23 with the announcement of pre-entered runners in that $7 million showcase as well as the other 13 races in the Breeders’ Cup World Championships set for Nov. 1-2 at Del Mar.

The World Championships wagering menu will provide horseplayers with multi-race wagers featuring multi-million-dollar pools throughout the two-day program at Del Mar.
The culmination of horse racing’s second season (following the conclusion of the Triple Crown in June) is upon us, and the 2024 Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic set for Nov. 2 at Del Mar will be the centerpiece of a two-day World Championships event featuring 14 total races.
