all in Breeders' Cup

As we gear up for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Nov. 1 -2 at Del Mar, the excitement is palpable. It’s the time when horse lovers, racing aficionados, and fashion enthusiasts unite for a weekend of high stakes, thrilling races. No matter the reason you’re there, one thing is for certain – you’ve got to do it in exquisite style. The challenge? Navigating the fine line between fashion and functionality.

The countdown is on to the 41st Breeders’ Cup World Championships set for Nov. 1-2 at Del Mar, and attention within and outside of the world of horse racing is focused on preparing for the 14 Breeders’ Cup races as contenders ship into Del Mar from all over the world.

Everyone has their own preference, but in my view the Breeders’ Cup Mile is essentially the perfect horse race.

Breeder Jane Lyon’s Summer Wind Farm boasts two high-powered producers, mares whose progeny have left their mark on the sport’s history in their own ways. Littleprincessemma, purchased by Lyon when her Pioneerof the Nile colt was 2, is part of an elite sorority that currently boasts only two members: that Pioneerof the Nile colt, named American Pharoah, won the Triple Crown in 2015.

With the Nov. 1 and 2 Breeders’ Cup World Championships coming toward the end of a long and challenging season, success at Del Mar will have everything to do with timing.

Some horses will show the wear and tear of the campaign and be unable to fire their best shot. For others, everything will come together at the precise moment when it is needed most.
