Idratherbeblessed began to make his mark on the racetrack late in his 4-year-old season when he joined stakes company for the first time and finished a solid second in the $96,000 Buddy Diliberto Memorial Stakes going 1 1/16 miles on the turf on Dec. 21, 2024. He followed that up with another stakes placing in the first start of his 5-year-old campaign on Jan. 18, 2025, when he ran second in the off-the-turf $97,000 Colonel E. R. Bradley Stakes going 1 1/16 miles at Fair Grounds.

Idratherbeblessed got the first Graded stakes win of his career when he scored an 86.10-1 upset to go wire-to-wire to win the Grade 2 $500,000 Muniz Memorial Classic going 1 1/8 miles on the turf at Fair Grounds on March 22, 2025. Idratherbeblessed led all the way atop a 12-horse field in the Muniz to score a neck victory. He paid $174.20 to win with jockey Ben Curtis aboard.
