Stay Lucky offers participants the opportunity to win great prizes by stringing together winners in Thoroughbred races. Unbroken streaks of five, seven, nine, 14, 17 and 20 reward the players with a prize or choice of prizes. Terms and conditions apply.

The object is simple: pick winners from North American graded stakes races that draw at least six entrants. Races will be scored in real time but streaks will be updated only once daily to make sure they are scored in the correct order.

Pick as many races each weekend as you like, but be sure to play at least one race every weekend or your streak will be reset.

This week’s schedule features a short slate with a couple of strong favorites capable of extending Stay Lucky players' streaks.

Friday, April 27

Bewitch Stakes (5:30 p.m. ET): Hall of Fame jockey “Big Money” Mike Smith is flying in for a Friday race at Keeneland to ride Daddys Lil Darling (#5), the 3-5 morning-line favorite. Count me in.

Saturday, April 28

Santa Barbara Stakes (4:30 p.m. ET): After winning her U.S. debut in a stakes for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert on this course and at this distance, Plein Air (#6) looks like a good bet to add another victory here.

Whimsical Stakes (4:59 p.m. ET): Moonlit Promise (#8) has six wins and two seconds in nine races on the synthetic main track at Woodbine, and she is 2-for-2 at this distance. She’s comes off her worst race since 2016, however, beaten by 10 ¾ lengths on dirt in the Grade 2 Inside Information Stakes on March 17. That dull effort is the only reason she’s not a top pick this week.

Californian Stakes (5 p.m. ET): If you toss his most recent start on a wet track — he has finished off the board in all three races on wet tracks — Curlin Road (#3) looks pretty strong and holds a class edge here. Keep in mind his fourth in the TVG Pacific Classic was behind star older males Collected, Arrogate, and Accelerate. Full of Luck (#2) could be a significant threat in his first start on dirt and Dr. Dorr (#4) is in terrific form. Hopefully, you’ve extended your streak by now, if not fire away.

Sunday, April 29

San Simeon Stakes (6 p.m. ET): Three horses enter off wins on this unique 6 ½-furlong, downhill turf course, and another, Conquest Tsunami (#1), enters off a third-place finish in the $1 million Al Quoz Sprint in Dubai, which came on the heels of back-to-back wins on the downhill turf course. This is a tough race and I wouldn’t risk a significant streak on it, but if you’re back to zero and plan to swing away, try Belvoir Bay (#4), who did not have to trek to Dubai and back.
