Old Smoke Clothing Co. announced today a collaboration with Secretariat.com and America’s Best Racing to introduce the Secretariat Collection of vintage-feel T-shirts. Inspired by legendary Thoroughbred champion’s 1973 Triple Crown campaign, the initial trio of T-shirt designs featured in the introductory release gives tribute to the reigning record-holder in all three of the American classic races in a subtle, retro style.

As an official licensee of Secretariat.com, Old Smoke designed each of the T-shirts in the collection to harken back to those five weeks in the late spring of 1973 when the nation’s collective attention turned from war protests and the Watergate scandal to the emergence of the chestnut hero and his history-making performances in the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Belmont Stakes. Nearly a half-century later, racing fans will be able to relive that excitement when America’s Best Racing spotlights Secretariat in a feature series during the upcoming Triple Crown season.
