Stacie Clark grew up in the racing industry and worked as a jockey in the 1990s. She also worked in film and television for Woodbine Racetrack and others before turning her focus to the development of racehorse retirement initiatives. What I do for a living: Operations consultant with the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance

What I like about Thoroughbred racing: Everything, I really couldn’t pick a favorite part.

If I wasn’t in my current job, I would be a: Ski instructor

Best advice to someone considering becoming a Thoroughbred owner: Surround yourself with good people and have a safe exit plan for your horses.

Most influential person in my career: Mike Rogers

Three ways to attract more fans to the sport: Treat the fan like they are important too, have a safe exit plan for horses after racing, find a way to get them (the fan) closer to the horses
