Plutarch raced five times during his 2-year-old campaign in 2025 and earned his maiden win in his fifth try in a 1 1/8-mile turf race on Nov. 30 at Del Mar. While still a maiden, Plutarch raced competitively in stakes company including a third-place finish by three-quarters of a length in the Grade 1 American Pharoah Stakes on Oct. 4, 2025, at Santa Anita.
Plutarch raced five times during his 2-year-old campaign in 2025 and earned his maiden win in his fifth try in a 1 1/8-mile turf race on Nov. 30 at Del Mar. Plutarch made his 3-year-old debut back on the dirt on Feb. 7, 2026, in the Grade 3 $100,000 Robert B. Lewis Stakes going one mile in a seven-horse field at Santa Anita. Plutarch pressed and set the pace all the way and gained the advantage in mid-stretch and forged to a three-quarters of a length win over Intrepido at the finish.
Plutarch is trained by Bob Baffert. He was bred in Kentucky by the sire Into Mischief out of the dam Stellar Wind by Curlin.
