#TheAction: Reading the PPs, Bottom-Up

09.05.2017

While most are inclined to read a horse’s past performances, top down… with their most recent race first… it’s actually most prudent to read those past performances BOTTOM UP. Starting at the bottom… or from the beginning of the horse’s career… will give you insights into what the horse’s connections initially thought of the horse, what might’ve changed, which types of races the horse has succeeded in, which ones they’ve struggled in, and so on… Armed with that knowledge, you’ll be better equipped to predict how the horse might run next out.

The Customize Display tab on the Edit Template screen in Customize PPs  from STATS Race Lens has a radio button for All in the row of Number of Running Lines Visible. When that radio button is selected for a Past Performance Template, all of a horse's running lines for his entire carrer will be displayed.
