Bottas, a 3-year-old Vekoma colt trained by Miguel Clement, rose to 11^th on the overall leaderboard and fifth among sophomore males after surpassing $1 million in 2026 earnings with his win in the KTDF Gun Runner Stakes on Monday at Kentucky Downs. Bottas returned from a seven-month layoff in June at Saratoga, finishing third in the Grade 3 Pennine Ridge Stakes. Two starts later, Bottas returned to the winner’s circle with an impressive 1 ½-length victory in the Grade 2 National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes on the same day his trainer’s late father, Christophe Clement, was inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame. Bottas was then shipped then to Kentucky for his second straight stakes win, bringing his yearly earnings to $1,280,263.

Caroline St. Beat, another 3-year-old colt trained by Clement, moved into 18^th on the overall leaderboard and seventh among 3-year-old males. He also shipped from Saratoga to Kentucky Downs and won the Grade 2 1/ST BET Nashville Derby just seven days after winning a state-bred allowance race in New York. Caroline St. Beat won by 1 ½ lengths at odds of 17.27-1 in his graded stakes debut and surpassed the seven-figure plateau in career earnings. With two wins and a runner-up finish this year, Caroline St. Beat has now earned $1,101,375 in 2026.

Possiblemente, a 6-year-old Tale of Ekati gelding, earned an expenses-paid berth in the Prevagen Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint with his 1 ¼-length victory in the Grade 2 Light and Wonder Kentucky Downs Turf Sprint Stakes for trainer Joe Sharp with Jose Ortiz aboard. Possiblemente has made seven starts this year at five different tracks and moved into 12^th on the overall leaderboard and fifth among older males with $1,273,670 in 2026 earnings after starting the year in a $40,000 claiming race.

The highest Equibase Speed Figure of the week came from the Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” AGS Kentucky Turf Cup Invitational Stakes at Kentucky Downs. European invader Tiffany, a 6-year-old mare by Farhh, earned a 119 speed figure for her 1 ¾-length win over males. She earned $582,800 for the win and an automatic berth into the Longines Breeders' Cup Turf.

In the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity, Hughes improved to a perfect 3-for-3 with a 4 ¾-length win. The Into Mischief colt gave trainer Bob Baffert his record-extending 20^th Del Mar Futurity win and earned a 96 Equibase Speed Figure for the effort. Hughes won his debut at Los Alamitos in June before winning the Grade 3 Best Pal Stakes at Del Mar in August. With $300,000 in earnings, Hughes is now second among 2-year-old males.

Baffert also set a record a day earlier in the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante, winning his 13^th edition of the race thanks to a 6 ¼-length romp by Miss Monica. The Early Voting filly debuted with a 5 ¾-length score Aug. 9 at Del Mar and on Saturday moved into sixth place among juvenile fillies with $240,000 in earnings.

On Sunday at Saratoga in the Grade 1 Spendthrift Farm Hopeful Stakes or 2-year-olds, The Good Life dominated by four lengths for trainer Brad Cox with Manny Franco aboard. The Life Is Good colt broke his maiden by 3 ½ lengths at Saratoga in July and improved to 2-for-2 with $228,250 in earnings, which ranks fifth among juvenile males.

In the Grade 1 Spinaway Stakes Saturday at Saratoga, Summer Starlet put on a brilliant performance to win by 4 ¾ lengths, earning a 94 speed figure and a berth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies. A City of Light filly, Summer Starlet broke won her career debut by 6 ½ lengths in August at the Spa and is undefeated from two starts. With $228,250, Summer Starlet rose to sixth among juvenile fillies.

Despite not having a single win from 23 starts last week, Godolphin overtook Klaravich Stables in the owner division now with $6,990,980 in 2026 North American earnings through racing on Sept. 7, $86,167 ahead of Klaravich in second. Jose Ortiz surpassed $33 million in 2026 North American earnings, about $2.5 million more than Flavien Prat in second. Brad Cox continues to dominate the trainer standings and surpassed 200 wins for the year with $23,898,259 in earnings.
