The fourth edition of the 2025 Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings reflects the recent conclusion of the Triple Crown series in North America, and as a result, Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve and Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets winner Sovereignty has moved into a tie for fourth overall with Japan-based Danon Decile. Saudi Cup winner Forever Young remains atop the rankings.

Sovereignty’s superb performances in the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes (the latter of which was held at Saratoga Race Course this year) resulted in a 125 rating. That makes him currently the highest-rated 3-year-old Thoroughbred in the world.
