The upcoming weekend in horse racing is highlighted by one Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve prep – the Virginia Derby at Colonial Downs – and by the pinnacle event of the year for gamblers, the National Horseplayers Championship. The NHC runs from Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 15, at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and is preceded by a Last Chance/First Chance Contest Thursday, March 12, at the casino.
America’s Best Racing presents full coverage of the NHC with four “LIVE from LAS VEGAS! National Horseplayers Championship” livestreams, starting on Last Chance/First Chance Thursday. These livestreams, presented by MorningLine.io, are produced with Daily Racing Form and NTRA and will be hosted by ABR’s Dan Tordjman, Rachel Miller, and Alexa Zepp plus DRF personalities and will feature numerous guests throughout the four days. See the schedule below for specific links to each show on YouTube. The four NHC shows will also be streamed on ABR’s Facebook, X, and Instagram channels.
The Virginia Derby will be run Saturday at Colonial Downs as part of a four-day meet from Thursday to Sunday, and the 105-point Kentucky Derby prep plus other action from the Virginia track will be broadcast live on FanDuel TV as part of their comprehensive schedule that also includes live racing from tracks such as Santa Anita Park, Gulfstream Park, Turfway Park, and Fair Grounds.
Live racing from Aqueduct and Oaklawn Park is showcased on “America’s Day at the Races” during a four-day run this week from Thursday through Sunday. The NYRA-produced show airs on FOX Sports – check the schedule below for channels and times.
Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
