Excellent Truth began her racing career in Europe and compiled four wins in France as a 3-year-old and 4-year-old in 2023 and 2024, with her best victory coming in July 2023 in the Group 3 Prix de Psyche going about 1 1/4 miles on soft turf at Deauville. She was brought to race in the United States as a 5-year-old mare in 2025 and sent to the barn of trainer Chad Brown.

Excellent Truth finished second in her first two North American starts, first with a troubled trip in the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland on April 12, 2025, and then again in the Grade 1 Just a Game Stakes at one mile at Saratoga on June 6.
The third time out on this side of the pond was the charm for Excellent Truth who scored her first North American win in the Grade 1 $500,000 Dunkin' Diana Stakes going 1 1/8 miles on good turf at Saratoga on July 12. Sent out as the 3-1 second choice in a field of five fillies and mares in the Diana, Excellent Truth out-moved odds-on favorite She Feels Pretty in the stretch and held her off in the late stages to prevail by a head. The win was the 10th career Diana Stakes victory in the career of trainer Chad Brown.
