Mullikin

Mullikin began his career as a 3-year-old in 2023 and won his maiden in his third career start with a 10 1/4-length victory going 6 1/2 furlongs at Churchill Downs on May 27. 

Mullikin enjoyed a career breakthrough as a 4-year-old in 2024, starting the season with a 5 3/4-length allowance win at Keeneland in April 26 and then with a 3 1/4-length allowance optional claiming win at Churchill Downs on June 8. Those back-to-back wins earned Mullikin his first graded stakes opportunity in his next start, and he again cashed-in when victorious by 1 1/2 lengths atop a five-horse field in the $200,000 Grade 2 John A. Nerud Stakes going seven furlongs at Belmont at the Big A on July 6.

Mullikin faced another class test in the Grade 1 Forego Stakes on the Aug. 24 DraftKings Travers Stakes undercard and aced the exam with a runaway victory, completing the seven-eighths of a mile sprint in 1:21.75 for his fourth straight victory.

Mullikin is trained by Rodolphe Brisset. He was bred in Kentucky by the sire Violence out of the mare Tulira's Star by Congrats.
