There is no event in Thoroughbred racing quite like the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

While other horse racing events feature a compelling full day of racing, they are almost always built upon one major race. The Breeders’ Cup, on the other hand, is a two-day event with 14 championship races across multiple divisions that helps crown myriad champions and highlight the best of the best in the sport.

After an action-packed first weekend of October featuring 21 Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series races, the upcoming weekend is less flashy but still includes several important stakes at tracks around North America.

Nestled on 230 acres in the heart of New Jersey’s horse country, historic Moorland Farm plays host to the annual Far Hills Race Meeting, a one-day celebration of the equine athlete. The card attracts the best of the steeplechase division, with jockeys, trainers, and horses from across the sport convening in pursuit of rich prizes. Thousands gather on the gorgeous green to watch, wager, and revel in the spectacle.

Breeders’ Cup Limited today announced the launch of “The Champion’s Ticket,” awarding one fortunate fan and their guest with the ultimate VIP journey – an all-expenses-paid trip to both the 2026 Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland Race Course and the 2027 Championships at the newly reimagined Belmont Park. Two second prize winners will win tickets to the 2026 edition at Keeneland.

One of the most important weekends in the Thoroughbred racing calendar is just days away, with elite racing scheduled all throughout North America and overseas as well. This is the final big weekend of Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series “Win and You’re In” qualifiers, which offer winners automatic entry in World Championships races Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at Del Mar.
