If you’re headed to the 2025 Breeders’ Cup at Del Mar Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, there’s a good chance you’re showing up with phone in hand. There’s no shame in it — you’re going to be at the World Championships of horse racing. If you don’t have the photos to prove it, were you really even there?

Welcome to Del Mar, a charming coastal gem in Southern California known for its breathtaking beaches, vibrant lifestyle, and of course, the historic Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, the home to the 2025 Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Opened in 1937, this oceanside racetrack draws visitors from all over to watch world-class racing while also enjoying everything that San Diego has to offer.

Breeders’ Cup Ltd. announced Oct. 14 the broadcast schedule and post times for the 42nd running of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, set for Oct. 31–Nov. 1 at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in Del Mar, Calif.

This year’s coverage will deliver an unprecedented multi-screen, multi-platform viewing experience — reaching fans where and how they want to watch.

With the 2025 Breeders’ Cup World Championships just over two weeks away, the Thoroughbred racing calendar in North America is fairly light on marquee stakes events, although one final “Win and You’re In” race overseas is set for Saturday, Oct. 18.

There is no event in Thoroughbred racing quite like the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

While other horse racing events feature a compelling full day of racing, they are almost always built upon one major race. The Breeders’ Cup, on the other hand, is a two-day event with 14 championship races across multiple divisions that helps crown myriad champions and highlight the best of the best in the sport.
