Are you a horse racing fan planning a trip to Del Mar for an upcoming meet?  If you answered yes, you are not alone. Del Mar area will surely be a popular travel destination for horseplayers and racing fans from far and wide this season.

This upcoming weekend marks the two-week countdown to the 41st Breeders’ Cup World Championships, held Nov. 1-2 at Del Mar. The fields for the 14 Breeders’ Cup races are coming into focus, with pre-entries scheduled to be released on Oct. 23.

There is no event in Thoroughbred racing quite like the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

Last weekend marked the grand finale of Breeders’ Cup preps in North America with important prep races held from coast to coast (two more “Win and You’re In” qualifiers are scheduled in England Oct. 19). Over the next three weekends, the connections of Breeders Cup contenders will conduct final workouts and arrange travel to Del Mar for the 41st World Championships Nov. 1-2.

Professional sports leagues in the U.S. have seen an increase in demand for high-end seating and extraordinary experiences as new venues and modernized older facilities have placed a focus on building or adding luxury accommodations.

Fans have grown accustomed to 96-inch high-definition televisions, second-screen viewing options for big events, and sports betting at their fingertips, so it makes sense that franchises in sports like the NFL must provide incentives to leave the comforts of home to venture out in inclement weather when championship games are held.
