Where to Watch/Listen: Coast-to-Coast Kentucky Derby Prep Weekend 2023

The biggest weekend on the Road to the 2023 Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve is days away, with three qualifying races each offering 200 Derby points scheduled for Saturday, April 8. Aqueduct hosts the Wood Memorial Stakes Presented by Resorts World Casino in New York, the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes will be run at Keeneland in Kentucky, and out west, the Runhappy Santa Anita Derby will be held at Santa Anita Park in California.

The Blue Grass and Santa Anita Derby will be broadcast live on NBC Saturday afternoon as part of NBC Sports’ “Road to the Kentucky Derby” series. The show, also streamed on Peacock, runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET and will be hosted by Ahmad Fareed with analysis from Randy Moss and Jerry Bailey, Kentucky Derby points updates from Steve Kornacki, and on-site reporting from Britney Eurton at Santa Anita and Kenny Rice at Keeneland.

The Wood Memorial will be shown nationwide on FOX Saturday during a half-hour program from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. that’s part of NYRA’s “America’s Day at the Races” broadcast. “America’s Day at the Races” will also air on FS1 and FS2 earlier Saturday as well as on Thursday and Friday this week featuring races from Aqueduct, Oaklawn Park, and Tampa Bay Downs. The Wood, Blue Grass, and Santa Anita Derby will also be shown on FanDuel TV as part of their comprehensive daily racing coverage. FanDuel TV is the go-to network for live broadcasts of every race during Keeneland’s popular spring meet, which begins Friday, April 7. FanDuel’s Scott Hazelton and Gabby Gaudet will host “Today at Keeneland,” a 30-minute preview show, available each raceday on Keeneland.com, Keeneland Select, Keeneland’s YouTube channel, WKYT.com, and FanDuel+ and broadcast live on FanDuel TV Saturdays and Sundays.

Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku

For livestreaming content, America’s Best Racing presents two shows live on-site at Santa Anita Park. The first show airs Friday, April 6, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and will break down the race sequence for Saturday’s mandatory Pick 6 payout at “The Great Race Place.” It’s hosted by Dan Tordjman, Jeff Chapman, and Ellis Starr and streams on ABR’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels and Santa Anita’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels.

On Saturday, ABR will again be on-site at Santa Anita for a preview of the track’s big day highlighted by the Runhappy Santa Anita Derby. “Santa Anita Derby LIVE!” streams at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT and will be hosted by Dan Tordjman, Ren Carothers, and Ellis Starr. It’s available on ABR’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels and Santa Anita’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels.
