Where to Watch/Listen: Horse Racing Coverage for Sept. 23-27
Events / Travel
The domestic Road to the Breeders’ Cup schedule takes a break this upcoming weekend before picking up for a 2 ½-week run loaded with final “Win and You’re In” preps. But the important races continue Saturday as the focus shifts to Parx Racing in Bensalem, Pa., where two Grade 1 stakes worth $1 million apiece will bring together some of the top 3-year-olds in training to vie for divisional supremacy.
The Pennsylvania Derby is headlined Hot Rod Charlie, who finished third in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Woodford Reserve and crossed the finish line first in the TVG Haskell Stakes before being disqualified, as well as Midnight Bourbon, who was the horse Hot Rod Charlie interfered with in the Haskell and who also finished second in the Preakness Stakes and Runhappy Travers Stakes. The Cotillion Stakes for 3-year-old fillies features graded stakes winners Clariere, Army Wife, and Maracuja.
TVG is the go-to network for coverage of the Pennsylvania Derby and Cotillion Stakes as well as other races on Parx’s marquee Saturday card. Post time for the Cotillion Stakes is set for 5:02 p.m. ET and for the Pennsylvania Derby at 5:49 p.m. ET.
