The 2021 Breeders' Cup World Championships are now just four weeks away. Many of the major prep races have been run, the fields are coming together, and racing fans from around the world are making their plans to visit Del Mar, home of this year's Breeders' Cup.
Located not far from San Diego, Calif., Del Mar has a reputation as one of the country's most beautiful racetracks. The majestic seaside oval hosted the Breeders' Cup for the first time in 2017, and track officials are ready to go for what is sure to be a spectacular two-day encore performance on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6.
There's plenty of great options available for this year's Breeders' Cup. Most reserved seating sections are sold out, but fans can still purchase tickets in the Surfside section, located in the infield near the inner rail of the turf course. Fans will have access to Adirondack chairs and high-top tables, along with a premium cash bar and umbrella shade. Tickets remain available for Friday, the first day of the championships, and start at $175 per seat.
Box seats, starting at $375 per seat, remain available for Friday in the Stretch Run section. Fans will have access to a shaded, open-air box, with great views of the horses as they turn for home. Fans can order food via the menu within the box, and indulge in cocktail service.
Dining options are also available for both days. Fans can choose from six options in the clubhouse, starting at $1,175 per seat for a two-day package. There are two options by the paddock, the Veranda Cafe, starting at $925 per seat, and the Beach House Cafe, starting at $775 per seat. Fans can enjoy seating in the infield terrace as well, starting at $150 per seat for Friday, $250 per seat on Saturday, and $350 per seat for a two-day package.
