Westwood entered the 2025 Santa Anita Derby as a maiden (a horse yet to win a race). Making his third lifetime start, he was sent off as the longshot in the five-horse field after having raced competitively in defeat against tough rivals in both of his first two maiden outings vs. maidens. He finished third behind barnmate Baeza and the Bob Baffert-trained Mellencamp in his career debut and then lost his second start by 1 1/4 lengths behind highly regarded Baffert maiden winner Voldemort at Santa Anita going 1 1/16 miles.

Westwood did get his maiden win under his belt two races later on Aug. 24, 2025, at Del Mar, and he later finished his 3-year-old campaign with a third-place finish in the Grade 3 Native Diver Stakes on Nov. 22 at Del Mar.
Westwood made his 4-year-old debut with a win in the Grade 2 $200,000 San Pasqual Stakes going 1 1/18 miles at Santa Anita on Jan. 31, 2026. He topped a five of five as the 3.20-1 third choice on the tote board with a 2 3/4-length wire-to-wire victory under jockey Kazushi Kimura.
