Selenaia won her first race in her second career start as a 2-year-old on Sept. 24, 2022 in a maiden race at the all-turf fall meet at the Meadowlands. She was not seen again until May 10, 2023 when victorious in her 3-year-old debut in an allowance race at Horseshoe Indianapolis.

Selenaia made her stakes debut in her following race, which came in the Grade 3 $100,000 Honeymoon Stakes on June 10, 2023 at Santa Anita. Selenaia stalked the pace and made a decisive move to the lead in the stretch and drew off to a 3 1/4-length win atop a field of eight fillies. She ran the 1 1/8 miles in a winning time of 1:48.18.
