His connections then entered Mr. A. P. in the $2 million, Grade 1 FanDuel Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Oct. 31 back at Del Mar, where he was sent off as a 20.60-1 longshot in a field with two heavy favorites in Ted Noffey and Brant. Mr. A. P. tracked off the pace set by Brant, with Ted Noffey just behind the leader, and began his rally in the homestretch as Ted Noffey struck the front. Mr. A. P. finished full of run to edge Brant for runner-up honors, ending up a length behind Ted Noffey in an encouraging performance.
The bay ridgling was bred in Kentucky and is out of the stakes-winning Discreet Cat mare Trenchtown Cat.
