Look Forward started her career with a victory Nov. 8, 2024, taking a six-furlong maiden race at Del Mar by 1 ¼ lengths. The daughter of Bolt d’Oro was trained by Ben Cecil, who was in the late stages of having terminal cancer, and after Cecil died on Nov. 29 the filly was transferred by owner J. Paul Reddam to Michael McCarthy for her final 2024 start, a good runner-up finish in the Grade 2 Starlet Stakes at Los Alamitos on Dec. 7.

Coming back at age 3, Look Forward won the seven-furlong Santa Ynez Stakes at Santa Anita by a head. The connections then tried Look Forward in two Longines Kentucky Oaks preps held around two turns but the filly was not a factor in the Honeybee Stakes (seventh) and the Central Bank Ashland Stakes (eighth). That led to a cutback in distance for the seven-furlong $600,000 Eight Belles Stakes Presented by Sysco on the May 2 Kentucky Oaks undercard at Churchill Downs. With Umberto Rispoli riding for the first time, the filly pressed the early pace, took the lead into the stretch, and finished strong for a 1 ¼-length victory.
Look Forward is out of the winning Into Mischief mare Troublesome, who has also produced multiple stakes winner Amidst Waves.
