High Oak made his debut in a maiden special weight at Belmont Park on June 26, 2021. He got up in the last few strides to win by 3/4 of a length under Junior Alvarado for trainer Bill Mott.

Next out, High Oak was sent off at 10.20-1 in the Grade 2 Saratoga Special Stakes Presented by Miller Lite on August 14. After rating off a very fast pace, he rolled by the leaders in the stretch and drew off to win by 4 1/4 lengths, covering 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:16.53. His win marked the first graded stakes win as a stallion for his sire (father), Gormley. High Oak wrapped up his season with a fourth-place finish in the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes on Sept. 6.
High Oak was purchased for $70,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale in 2020. He's owned in part by iconic New York sports talk radio host Mike Francesa, who races under the name JEH Racing Stable LLC.
